I love this time of year. Not only is it my favorite season, it is also the time of year when quilters wrap up their Rainbow Scrap Challenge quilts. They are always so exciting to see.

This last week I continued to work on finishing blocks for a few of my scrappy projects.
Look what I found! I knew I had made four of these Chaser blocks last week. I found this missing one in a wrong stack of blocks.
I have a large pile of various cut blocks sitting next to my sewing machine so that when I get a moment, I can go in there and sew a few seams. I never quite know what blocks are going to end up being completed. But I seem to have made some more progress this week.
I finished up six more RSC Well Suited blocks. I think I just need to sew the pieces next to my machine and I will have enough for my quilt. This quilt is really scrappy and will probably end up being a donation quilt ...
read moreI have been spending quite a bit of time lately in my sewing room.
I feel like I haven't had a finish in a really long time. I find myself juggling a number of projects each month and don't feel like I am making much progress. So I feel think it is time to focus on a few and get a few projects to the finish line.
The month of August is Teal/Turquoise/Aqua for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge over at So Scrappy.
We have had a beautiful Spring here in Oregon. That means I have been spending lots of time outside digging in the dirt. Last week, the weather cooled and the intermittent rain kept me indoors. That means I finally had some time to sew!
The RSC color for June is purple - my favorite color!
First, I want to wish all the moms out there a Happy Mother's Day!
Oh my! Temperatures in Eugene Oregon reached 80 degrees Saturday. I was in heaven working in my gardens most of the day.
Even though I have been trying to spend a lot of time outdoors, this week I have been also focused on sewing up some scraps.
I am certainly enjoying spring - both outside and in my sewing room. The RSC color for March is green and I finished quite a few blocks this week. Yay!
Springtime keeps teasing us here in the PNW so I find myself wanting to be outside whenever the sun is out. Lots of cleanup to do so all the gardens are ready to plant soon.
A new month means we have a new Rainbow Scrap Challenge color. And for February the color yellow was chosen.
I am working on numerous RSC quilts this year so I thought I would start the month out by making my Scrap Mixology blocks.
It seems that I have taken on a number of Rainbow Scrap Challenge quilts this year. So I have been keeping pretty busy making all my pink blocks.
I started noticing this summer that my blue scrap bin was nearing maximum capacity. Of course I ignored it. So when I got it out this fall, all of the scraps that I have been carefully tucking in would not go back into the bin. I had to make a few quilts!
A lot of the scraps were fairly large and chunky - so I thought I would use my Well-Suited Scrap Mixology pattern to make a blue and white quilt. I have been wanting to play with the "woven" layout with a flying geese center - I think it turned out ...
read moreI still have been busy sewing up blocks for a number of scrap quilts that are in the works.
The last few days have been filled with lots of scraps!
Last month, I shared my newest Rainbow Scrap Challenge block. These are the first test blocks I have made using this design and I will work on this quilt in 2021.
The blocks are one of the block options contained in my Well Suited pattern.
Well, skip ahead two weeks and as I was staring at ...
read moreFirst, I appreciate all of the support I have received on my Well Suited scrap pattern release. I have been busy working on finishing up the second module - which uses scrappy strips.
So stay tuned!
